Seventy years on Chesham's streets
When Ron Gilbert put his first car on the road in 1956, Chesham was the end of the line in more ways than one — the Metropolitan line stopped here, and so did most taxi coverage. Ron changed that, and Gilberts has been getting Chesham home ever since.
Today the fleet looks a little different — you're as likely to be picked up in a near-silent Tesla as anything else — but the promise hasn't moved an inch: a local driver who knows the town, a fair price agreed up front, and a firm that answers the phone at 3am.
We cover every corner of Chesham: the Broadway and the high street, Waterside, Pond Park, Hilltop, Newtown, and out to Ashley Green, Ley Hill, Bellingdon, Botley, Whelpley Hill and the lanes of Chesham Vale. We're also proud sponsors of Chesham United — you'll spot us at the Meadow on match days.
